“Azioni Concrete Impronte Leggere” is the project - financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, born from the collaboration between COMI Ong, Rete Clima, Impactskills, LVIA Ong, Amici dei Popoli Ong, C.O.P.E. Cooperazione Paesi Emergenti Ong, MLAL Trentino Onlus, CVCS, Informatici Senza Frontiere - which develops educational and gamification paths to raise awareness of secondary school students, teachers and educators, on sustainability issues and in particular on the reduction of the carbon footprint.
The educational courses “Ci giochiamo la transizione” take place in 24 schools in 8 Italian cities (Rome, Turin, Bologna, Padua, Gorizia, Catania, Trento, Verona) with the involvement of 120 teachers and 2,500 students. The educational course includes the design and creation of a gaming web app structured according to the escape room principle in which students will have to collect information and data to answer questions, quizzes and puzzles, solve critical situations and make choices that will prove fundamental for the survival or otherwise of the planet.
At the same time, the project supports the creation of carbon footprint calculators to be entrusted to students for the process of calculating the carbon footprint of school buildings and of the headquarters of public and third sector institutions: 30, in this case, the institutions involved in environmental reporting and 500 students.
The overall duration of the project is 24 months.
